In the hills of Jinotega, Nicaragua, children gather each week on dusty fields—barefoot, determined, and full of joy. They’re not just playing baseball; they’re building a future. This is the heart of Cross & Field’s world baseball outreach.
Why Nicaragua?
Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, and for many children there, access to organized sports is nearly nonexistent. Equipment is scarce, fields are often improvised, and coaches are hard to come by. Yet the passion for the game is undeniable.
Through our outreach, Cross & Field helps bridge the gap, bringing hope, structure, and opportunity to communities in need.
How Our World Baseball Outreach Is Changing Lives
Baseball is more than a game. For the children in our Nicaragua programs, it's a path to:
⚾ Discipline & Structure – Learning to commit, train, and grow
🌍 Cultural Connection – Building friendships between local and U.S.-based teams
🎓 Leadership – Encouraging responsibility and mentoring roles
💬 Hope – Offering a future that reaches beyond poverty or hardship.
One of our coaches grew up playing on the same fields. Now, he leads young athletes with encouragement and passion, showing them that their dreams matter.
How You Can Be Part of the Mission
We can’t do this alone. Here’s how you can join us in changing lives through our Nicaragua baseball mission:
👕 Shop mission-based gear — 100% of proceeds support our programs
👶 Sponsor a child — Give one child access to coaching, gear, and mentorship
We believe in a future where no child is left out—on the field or in life
With every glove donated, every t-shirt bought, and every prayer lifted, you’re helping us bring that future to life.
